Not sure if this should go under this board, but I heard it on the news today. The guy that made the movie Titanic has done a documentary about Jesus. He says that he found the Tomb in Jerusalim and through DNA testing it shows that it's Jesus and Mary in there and they were probably a couple and think they had a son. Anyway, the whole thing with this thing is it goes against Christianity because that says that Jesus rose from the grave and went to Heaven. Obviously not? Has anyone else heard about this? If so what are your thoughts on it? I am not a super religious person so I am not sure.
I saw this too, and feel fairly positive this is a publicity stunt. But... should be interesting.

Hmm it's a pathetic attempt to keep jim cameron's name in the news,he's a prime example of the ultimate attention seeker.
I, too, believe this is a publicity stunt. People have been trying to disprove Christianity and the Bible for years, but so far, in the end, history has always proved the Bible true. I think it will be the same here.
"but so far, in the end, history has
always proved the Bible true."
Really? This is news to me.
here here, Dawn! Furthermore a professor of (I believe) bible history, has discredited it. Apapparently the names on the Osiaries could be read a number of ways, one of which not saying Jesus MAry and Joseph at all. It was also said that, around that time, Jesus was pretty popular a name for baby boys. lol After all he made quite an impression didn't he? Na don't believe it folks. Like Dawn said history has proven a lot of the bible as truth. For example the fall of Jerusalem in 607 B.C.E. There are also other religions/belif systems that agree with bible happenings. So if they didn't lie about those, why would they lie about the rest? But perhaps that's for another topic on another board. The point is there isn't enough salt in syberia to take with this story.
There may be some facts of historical value, but the story line, and ideas contained in the bible are nothing more than mistical fiction and believed because stupidity runs rampid with the human species. Read the Devenchie Code and it mentions Marry Magdellin, Jesus's wife whom the bible discredits to cover up and makes her into an unholy prostitute.
I just stumbled on this topic, and I have to say to Magical. You're getting your facts from a fiction book like The "Devenchie Code "? ARG! talk about stupidity!
